Electric Power Safety Belt Harness with Double Rope Lanyard
Electric power safety belt harness with a double rope lanyard and hooks, in nylon, for high voltage pole maintenance.
Overhead line and pole work is where the fall-protection system has to be specified as a system. We supply full-body harnesses, safety belts with double rope lanyards and adjustable pole-climbing shoes.
A harness on its own arrests nothing. What matters at the point of work is the complete arrangement: the anchor point available on the structure, the lanyard configuration that connects to it, and whether the wearer can move and work while remaining connected.
That is why the specification starts with the structure and the task rather than with the harness. A double lanyard exists for the moment of transfer between anchor points — where a single lanyard forces the wearer to disconnect, the protection is suspended at exactly the wrong time.
Where the structure is climbed directly, adjustable pole-climbing shoes are the traditional tool for wooden and concrete poles, and they are specified by the pole diameter range they have to grip and by the footwear they have to fit.
Where access is better served by a ladder, an FRP insulated ladder is the safer choice for live-adjacent work — and the two are different purchases with different documentation. Tell us the structure and the access method and we will quote the arrangement that fits it.
Textile fall-protection equipment degrades in ways that are visible on inspection — abrasion, contamination, damaged stitching and heat or chemical exposure are the conditions that retire a harness early.
The practical requirement is therefore that the equipment can be inspected: labelling that records the date of manufacture and the model, and hardware that can be examined item by item. That is what our own inspection regime works from, and it is what we quote against for buyers who issue equipment to crews.
Fall-protection standards differ by market, and the same nominal product is tested differently under each. Rather than publish a single number that would only be right in one country, we quote against the standard your project or your national regulation names.
Tell us the standard, the structure and the task, and the harness, lanyard and accessories are confirmed together — with the test documentation that goes with that standard.
